Donors holding a Donor Advised Fund at the Santa Fe Community Foundation can recommend that grants from their fund be made to eligible nonprofits. Donor Advised grants are approved by the Santa Fe Community Foundation board.

Discretionary grants, made from the earnings of SFCF Discretionary Funds, are made at the recommendation of the Foundation’s Grants Committee, and are the result of in-depth readings of proposals and financial documents and, occasionally, site visits and/or interviews with representatives of the applying organization.
