Getting Started: Where to Give

Santa Fe Community Foundation offers many ways to assist you in achieving your philanthropic goals. You can direct your charitable gift to one of the current funds of the Foundation, or you can create your own fund.

Community Leadership Fund

The Community Leadership Fund allows the Foundation to provide important services to improve the community in three important ways.  Read more >>

Unrestricted Grantmaking Funds

These Funds support the Foundation’s annual grantmaking to nonprofit organizations focused on Cultural Vibrancy, Economic Security & Opportunities, Sustainable Agriculture & Stewardship of Resources, Educational Success & Career Pathways, and Health & Wellbeing.

• Circle of Care for Health and Human Services Endowment Fund
  This permanent endowment fund was created by a "circle" of generous individuals who made gifts of $10,000 to the fund.  Income earned from investments is used to make grants to nonprofits that the Foundation selects in the fields of Health & Wellbeing.
• Circle of Care for the Arts Endowment Fund
  This permanent endowed fund is being built by a "circle" of generous individuals who are donating $10,000 to the fund.  Income earned from investments is used to make grants to nonprofits that the Foundation selects in the field of Cultural Vibrancy.
• Economic Opportunity Endowment  Fund
  This is a permanent endowed fund and the income earned from investments is used to make grants to nonprofits that the Foundation selects in the field of Economic Security & Opportunities.
• Environment Endowment Fund
  This is a permanent endowed fund and the income earned from investments is used to make grants to nonprofits that the Foundation selects in efforts to protect and improve Sustainable Agriculture & Stewardship of Resources.
• Education Endowment Fund
  This is a permanent endowed fund and the income earned from investments is used to make grants to nonprofits that the Foundation selects in the field of Educational Success & Career Pathways.

Empty Stocking Fund

In cooperation with The Santa Fe New Mexican, the Santa Fe Community Foundation, Presbyterian Medical Services, the Salvation Army, and Life Link, the Empty Stocking Fund helps scores of needy families during the winter season.  Read more >>

Throughout the years, caring donors have created special funds to address specific needs in the community.  You can join the causes you care about by contributing to established funds addressing these needs.  Read more >>

Endowed Agency Funds

Both donors and nonprofit agencies have had the foresight to establish Endowed Agency Funds at the Foundation to benefit the named nonprofit agency in perpetuity.  See if your favorite agencies are on our Agency Endowment Fund List.
